Welcome back to another Juice. I hope you read yesterday and took my advice as I pulled off a huge 6-0 performance. Today I have 6 more locks for you, so let’s get started. 6-0 yesterday, so 21-7 overall which is 75%, so let’s get after it.
We’ll stay in New York as the Twins shelled the Yankees yesterday and JA Happ sucked. Look, the Yankees have excuses and I have said that time and time again, but there is no reason they could not win yesterday. JA Happ has been awful this season and the Yankees spent so much money on him so things need to change there. There was a sigh of relief though as Andujar returned to the lineup but personally I think the Yanks should still trade his ass. We’ve seen in a short time how effective Urshela is and I think he a better player. More good news though as Didi could return to hitting soon, so hang in there Yankees’ fans. Today we have German (5-1 2.56 ERA) going up against the former Yankee, Michael Pineda (2-2 6.21 ERA). I’ll say it the best I can, Yankees will jump on Pineda early and often and win this game easily. Give me New York 8-3. Take the Yankees -1.5 and the over 8. Mortal lock on this one.
This should just be a throwaway series for the Dodgers and it has been, but I never thought we’d see these two teams play and both be well over .500. The Padres have shocked almost everyone this season but it seems to be winding down as of late. Today we have Maeda (3-2 4.41 ERA) going up against Margevicius (2-3 3.23 ERA). What this game really comes down to is who can hit better. Bellinger has been lights out and I think he gets a home run today as well as Manny, but I think the Padres need this game to remain relevant, give me SD 7-5. Padres +1.5 and the over 7.5.
Well, this series has not been fun at all. The Giants came back from a 11-3 deficit to win on Friday while the Reds ran away with the game yesterday. Senzel got his first home run in the majors and today the Reds announced that they have called up Josh VanMeter who was killing it in the minors. So it feels like it is do or die time for the Reds because Scooter is out another 60 days AT LEAST. Today, we have Castillo (3-1 1.45 ERA) going up against Samardzija (2-1 2.53 ERA). This game will be a pitching battle, in my opinion, and it is something we won’t see much out of these teams. I think Castillo continues to pitch lights out and it will come down to who can hold the lead the best… and I have no faith in the Reds bullpen. The Reds have their A lineup today and I think they attack early and hold on to this game thanks to Castillo going 7+ innings. Give me Cincinnati -1.5 and the under 8.5. Reds win 4-2.
