Pretty good slate of games this weekend. Looks like we’re actually going to have ourselves a nice little Saturday.
Game 1: #14 Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt- UK -11.5
This is easily the biggest point spread I have seen in favor of Kentucky for an SEC game in a while. Growing up a Kentucky football fan though, I can actually see us screwing this up somehow. But this year’s team is different. Hopefully Benny Snell goes out of his way to embarrass somebody after last game’s loss. If not, Touchdown Terry is still fast and that has to count for something. As for Vandy, they just flat out stink. This is the least worried I will ever be for Kentucky in an SEC game this season. Kentucky by 3 touchdowns.
UK: 37 Vandy: 16
Game 2: #6 Michigan @ #24 Michigan St.- MICH -7.0
I am still in shock that Michigan is ranked as high as they are. Being ranked 6 is a joke and probably giving them a little bit of a big ego coming into East Lansing. As we all know, Harbaugh cannot beat his rivals and in the last couple years, Michigan State is proving themselves to be one of his toughest. Now, the wolverines have to play a very hot Sparty team that is still riding the high of beating Penn State last week. The Michigan defense and all their stupid haircuts are going to let down all of Ann Arbor and lose this one in the final seconds.
MSU: 21 MICH: 20
Game 3: #16 NC State @ #3 Clemson- 17.5 CLEM
Wow, Vegas. Really going out on a limb on this one. I do not understand why Clemson is getting the respect they are when all they have done is beat Mississippi State after blowing a huge lead. This game is being played at fake Death Valley so I see why they are favored, but 17 points? Come on. This is their only tough game in the ACC this year and I will continue to pick against them until they lose. Yup, even against Louisville. The over/under for this game is 57.5 which I completely understand because Clemson’s defense falls apart when tested. And boy will this be a test. NC State’s quarterback, Ryan Finley, is a lot better than his stats show and I think he will have a huge game this weekend. I’m taking the wolfpack because I need my Clemson taketo hit.
NCST: 31 CLEM: 27
Game 4: Mississippi State @ LSU- LSU-6.5
This game is taking place in the real Death Valley. As we all know, especially from last week, it is damn hard to beat this team in Baton Rouge. I would not want to play LSU this year unless I was Alabama. Joe Burrow got back on track last week with his throwing ability. If he keeps it up this week, it’ll bust the MSU defense wide open and make their incredible run defense pretty much useless. This one could get ugly especially now that the band can play Neck. Bulldogs suck that Tiger dick (their words not mine) in a blowout.
LSU: 41 MSU: 17
Game 5: #12 Oregon @ #25 Washington State- WASU-3.0
Vegas with the wild disrespect against Oregon this week. I love Mike Leach as much as the next guy, actually probably a lot more, but damn. Oregon can’t get favored even after beating a Top 10 team last week in Washington and playing a team that they are ranked 13 spots ahead of? All that being said, I really do not believe in Oregon at all this year. Justin Herbert is a bum and, like my Clemson take, I am prepared to die on this hill. The over/under on this game is 68.5. Probably because WASU quarterback Gardner Minshew is about to light up the Ducks’ defense. I love Mike Leach and I love this Cougar team to pull off the win at home.
WASU: 45 ORE: 38
